Arcade racers that actually feel good on a touchscreen

Touchscreen steering gets a bad reputation, usually earned by games that force precise inputs no thumb can manage. But the arcade racers that embrace the limitation can feel wonderful.

Neon Drift Runner is my go-to example. It builds the whole game around drifting, which forgives small input errors and turns them into style. You feel fast and in control even when you're sloppy.

My tip: turn off tilt steering if you play on the move. Tap or on-screen controls are far more reliable when you're not sitting still, and you'll post better times.

Short tracks are your friend here. A three-minute race fits anywhere, and the arcade genre is built for the 'one more go' itch.
